A Special Retirement Home for Flora & A Fall Litter Update

July 17, 2026
Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer! Today I have a couple of updates to share—one that’s a little bittersweet as we begin a new chapter for Flora, and another as we look ahead to our upcoming Golden Retriever fall litter.

Finding the Perfect Home for Flora

Flora has been such a special part of our breeding program, and after raising beautiful, healthy puppies over the years, it’s time for her to enjoy a well-earned retirement.

As much as I love every one of my dogs, one of the most important responsibilities I have as a breeder is making sure each of them has the opportunity to live their happiest life. For Flora, I believe that means finding the perfect forever retirement home where she can be the center of someone’s world.

Because I care so deeply about her future, I am going to be very selective about the family she joins.

Flora is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and wonderful with people of all ages. She loves children and enjoys spending time with her family. While she gets along just fine with other dogs, she truly shines when she can be the only dog in the home. She enjoys having all the attention to herself and would thrive in a quieter environment where she can soak up all the love.

Finding the right fit is much more important to me than finding a home quickly. I know there is a family out there who will appreciate everything Flora has to offer and give her the wonderful retirement she deserves.

If you’ve ever considered welcoming an adult Golden Retriever into your family, Flora may be the perfect companion. Adult dogs often transition beautifully into new homes and already have the calm temperament, manners, and confidence that many families are looking for.

If you have questions about Flora, her personality, or what kind of home would be the best fit for her, I would love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to answer questions and help determine if she might be a good match for your family.

Looking Ahead to Our Fall Litters

While one chapter is closing for Flora, we’re also looking ahead to another exciting puppy season.

We’ve already begun receiving deposits for our upcoming fall Golden Retriever litters and are excited to welcome more wonderful families to the MGO family.

Right now, we’re simply waiting for Nova and Aspen to come into heat before we have a better idea of the expected timing for puppies. Once breeding takes place, we’ll be able to share estimated due dates and anticipated take-home dates.

We expect to have more information very soon, and we’ll be sure to share updates here on the website as they become available.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a Golden Retriever puppy to your family this fall, now is a great time to reach out with questions or learn more about joining our waiting list.

As always, thank you for following along and supporting our breeding program. Whether you’re welcoming your first MGO puppy, returning for another, or simply enjoying the journey with us, I truly appreciate every one of you.

If you’ve welcomed one of our puppies into your home and haven’t had a chance to leave a review yet, I would be so grateful if you did. And to those who already have, thank you so much. Your kind words truly mean a lot and help other families feel confident joining the MGO family.
