Puppy Season Update: Aspen’s Pups Are Home & Nova’s Leave This Weekend🐾

What a weekend we just had here at My Golden Opportunities. It was full of happy tears, wagging tails, and some truly special moments as Aspen’s 11 puppies met their forever families. Watching each family arrive and light up when they finally connected with their puppy is something I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. Seeing puppies find a loving home fills my heart knowing that they are so deeply wanted and already so loved.

One thing that made this weekend even more meaningful is that 5 of the 11 puppies went home with repeat families—people who have already welcomed one of our Goldens into their lives and chose to come back to MGO for their next companion. That kind of trust is something I never take for granted. To everyone returning for a second puppy, thank you. It means more than I can ever say to be a part of your lives and your stories in this way.

Nova’s Puppies Head Home Next

Now we shift our attention to Nova’s sweet litter. They begin heading to their families this coming Friday evening and throughout the weekend. This transition from our home to yours is such a big moment in every puppy’s life, and I am already soaking up these last few days with them—watching their confidence grow, laughing at their clumsy pounces, and noting how much they are starting to look like their parents.

As of today, we have two males available from Nova’s litter who are waiting for their forever homes, along with one female who became available after a reserved family moved their spot to a summer litter. They are affectionate, eager to learn, and absolutely love cuddles and outdoor exploring. If you’ve been thinking about adding a Golden Retriever to your family, this could be a wonderful opportunity. I’d be happy to answer questions or help you determine whether one of these pups might be a good fit for your lifestyle.

A Beautiful Reminder About This Stage

Each time we reach this part of puppy season, I’m reminded of something important: bringing a puppy home is a joyful and exciting experience, but it is also a big transition for these little ones (similar to my post last week). They are leaving behind everything familiar—their mother, littermates, routines, and the only environment they’ve ever known.

If you are preparing to welcome a puppy soon, here are a few gentle reminders to help them settle in:

⭐ Be patient. Some puppies adjust right away, and others need a little more time. Both are normal.
⭐ Keep things calm at first. Visitors can wait a bit—let your puppy bond with you before they meet the whole neighborhood.
⭐ Create a routine. Predictability helps your puppy feel safe and confident.
⭐ Remember that every puppy is unique. Try not to compare their progress with another dog you’ve had in the past. These early weeks set the foundation for a lifetime of trust and connection. Go slow, enjoy this new beginning, and know that you’re doing a great job.

Thank You, So Much

To the families who took home Aspen’s puppies this past weekend: thank you for such an unforgettable few days. It was a joy meeting you in person and watching those first snuggles and wagging-tail introductions. My heart is already overflowing because many of you have begun sharing photos of your puppies settling into their new homes, curled up on couches, exploring backyards, meeting new friends, and taking those very important first naps. Please keep them coming! It is such a gift to watch them begin their lives with you.

To the families preparing for Nova’s puppies: I’ll see you so soon! I know these next few days of anticipation are filled with excitement, and I can’t wait to watch you meet your new little ones. As of now, we still have a few puppies looking for their forever homes—two boys and one girl. If you’ve been considering adding a Golden Retriever to your family, I would love to talk with you and see if one of these sweet pups might be the perfect match.

Thank you, truly, for being part of this journey. It is a privilege to raise these puppies, and an even greater honor to place them in the arms of families who will love them for a lifetime. 💛🐾

If you’ve welcomed one of our puppies into your home and haven’t had a chance to leave a review yet, I would be so grateful if you did. And to those who already have, thank you so much. Your kind words truly mean a lot and help other families feel confident joining the MGO family.
